The Case IH CS 86 was one of three CS models which replaced the previous models 844 and 856 in March 1997. It has a water-cooled, turbo-charged four-cylinder engine by MWM which has a capacity of 4.150 cm3 and this means that the tractor performs well. This tractor's gearbox has four gears and a two-step shift as well as an optional shuttle shift. The PTO clutch can be set to four different speeds, with 430, 540, 540E or 1000 revolutions. This tractor's 50 l hydraulic pump has an operating pressure of up to 175 bar and comes complete with a load-sensing valve. Between two and four controllers can be fitted and they are operated by switches, or if preferred, by using the control lever. The capacity is about 4,810 daN. The cabin height of the Case IH CS 86 is 2.67 metres, but this can be reduced to 2.56 metres if you have the low cabin variety. The tractor has an unloaded weight of 3,860 kg and a permitted maximum loaded weight of 6,500 kg which means that it can take a payload of 2,640 kg. The Case IH CS 86 is a very successful replacement for the 844 and 856 models. It offers consistent performance and a user-friendly cabin with air conditioning as well as a wide range of equipment options.
