Grüner Trommelwirbel, John Deere T 660i, Mähdrescher
In 2016 John Deere's T series was given a complete overhaul. Since then, the biggest straw walker harvester in the world has complied with the Tier 4 exhaust emission standard. The John Deere T 660 is the second-biggest combine harvester in this series. It has a built in John Deere Power Tech PSX 6-Cylinder with turbo charger and 9 I engine capacity. It offers a maximum engine power of 273 k/W (371 hp), the 3-speed gearbox is electrically connected. The John Deere T 660 also includes a special feeder house, it has four feeder chains and reverser power of 80 HP. The longer feeder house means that the driver can not only keep the header in view, but also see the stubble height behind the header. The threshing drum built in to the John Deere T 660 has a diameter of 660 mm and a width of 1,670 mm. The large and stable drum already ensures good threshing, the second, smaller, drum is variably adjustable depending on the straw ratios. Both drums together form an active separation area of 3.36 m2 in total. The John Deere T660 has six shaker and seven drop steps. The shaking surface covers a total of 5.4 m2. The Quadra-Flow cleaning system developed by John Deere provides a fan speed of up to 1,525 rev/min. The grain tank of the John Deere T 660 holds 9,000 litres as standard, but can optionally be extended to 11,000 l. In the John Deere T 660, the chopping duties are assumed by 68 blades and 66 counter-knives. On request, the T 660 can be equipped with the Extra Fine Cut premium straw chopper. This has 108 blades and 68 counter-blades.
