The Fendt 309 Vario tractor is equipped with a 80 HP four-cylinder engine, which has a four-litre capacity, its features include, common rail, four-valve technology, turbocharger and AGRex EGR. The optimum usage of the 309 Vario is at around 207 g/kWh. In order to meet changing emissions standards, an SCR catalyst was included in the Fendt 309 Vario from 2012. Like almost all the Vario tractors from Fendt, the 309 Vario is also driven via the stepless Fendt Vario transmission. This enables the tractor to reach a top speed of 30 km to 40 km/h. It also has super crawler gearing from 20 m/h.
The triple PTO in Fendt 309 Vario tractors has an external PTO speed control and can be adjusted in the known areas with 540, 540E and 1000 U/min. With a length of 4.15 m, 2.16 m width and 2.75 m height, the 309 Vario comes to a curb weight of 3,800 kg for the rear-wheel drive variant and 4,130 kg in the four-wheel drive variant. The total weight is limited to 7,500 kg (from 2012 to 8,500 kg). In addition to economy, efficiency and ease of use, the Fendt 309 Vario also impresses by offering great comfort. The driver’s cab in the 309 Vario is sound- and vibration-proof and equipped with an air-suspended seat, heating, digital-quad display and optional air conditioning.
