In 2002 Fendt broadened their operations in the agricultural machinery branch once more. From this point onwards they started producing round balers. At the beginning of the activity in this area they immediately introduced 6 different round balers onto the market, four of these being round balers and the other two being square balers. The target group, that Fendt clearly wants to appeal to with these machines, is large companies and agricultural service supply agencies because the Fendt balers demand quite a lot of the connected tractor due to its high work efficiency. The tractor has to perform with between 90PS and 140PS at the power take-off shaft in order for the machinery to work properly. All the machines are appropriate for baling hay, straw and silage. The pick-up width of the balers is 2.2m for the round balers and between 2 and 2.5m for the square balers. In some models Fendt builds in the so-called ‘Auto-Level-Pick-Up’. This system adapts itself to the contour of the ground. Recently, they have also been producing fixed-chamber balers and have 3 different models on the market currently. Fendt have once more been able to impress their customers with the newest technology and the reliability of their balers.
