Find your used Deutz-Fahr argricultural machines for low-prices from dealers and private sellers near you at tractorpool.co.uk.The German brand name Deutz-Fahr stands for over one hundred years of experience in agricultural engineering. Known for its modern developments such as the Trac-concept, sprung cabins and the automatic default settings, Deutz-Fahr belongs to the established manufacturers of land machinery. For around 75 years tractors have belonged to this machinery. The 2 former independent brands ‘Deutz’ and ‘Fahr’, merged in 1981 within the Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG to become the agricultural and tractor brand Deutz-Fahr. Previously, in 1961, the market leaders in the manufacturing of tractors, Deutz, had already joined Fahr, a company which had existed since the 19th century. After the company’s founder, Johann Georg Fahr, had from 1911 onwards put the focus on the manufacturing of harvest machinery, the production was then later concentrated on reapers, rakes, harvester-binders and hay-rakes. Fahr had already in 1930s developed the prototype of a combine harvester which could drive itself, in order to make the work on the field easier. In 1951 this combine harvester was introduced into the German market as the combine harvester M1. The invention of the rotary tedder followed in the 90s. With the tedder the hay can be gathered, processed and spread at high speeds and this product solidified the position of Deutz-Fahr as the leading producer of harvesting technology. Not only are tractors produced under the brand name Deutz-Fahr but also a large variety of agricultural machinery: loader wagons, hay balers, drum mowers and disk mowers do, amongst others, belong to the product range. Under the brand name Deutz-Fahr tractors, one will find the well-known product lines M, L, X and TT. Since the merger with the Italian SAME-Group, the company has also been producing combine harvesters from in-house production. The product lines 6040, 6060-6095 HTS as well as 7545 RTS belong to this production group.
